San Gimignano

This morning we got ourselves to the train station but we hadn’t checked the train times before so we barely missed it.  We had to wait a whole hour for the next train and then when we got to the Poggiobonsi station we had to wait another hour for the next bus that would take us to San Gimignano.  San Gimignano is quite a bit smaller than Siena but it looks much like the same.  Something cool about San Gimgnano is that it has thirteen towers that represented the richest and most important families built in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries.    When we were finally there we got ourselves something to eat.  I had a salami panino and a half of a pork panino and then we had some really good gelato.  Then we explored the city for a bit and looked into a bunch of shops.  They had a lot of stuff like we’ve seen in the other cities: ceramics, souvenirs, and lots of CUTE jewelry.  After we walked around a lot and had enough of the city we came home.  Luckily we didn’t have to wait too long for the buses and trains so we got home rather early.  We stopped by the supermarket to get some groceries for tomorrow’s lunch.  Then we rested for a while before dinner.  We put in the movie Titanic that Hillary got from the library and laughed at all the cheesy lines.
